501(c)3 nonprofit organization which operates an an umbrella for a number of programs under its supervision and direction; with its primary objective to attract philanthropic investment in Appalachia with a purpose to: A) act as a catalyst in providing networking platforms as well as educational support services to nonprofits, and B) provide and attract resources to help organizations forward their causes and fulfill their missions.

Currently operating in the central Appalachian region, primarily in the distressed and at-risk counties of KY, OH, and WV. In the future, it will broaden its reach outside of these three states to serve the entire Appalachian region.

The mission of the Center for Appalachian Philanthropy is to grow philanthropy* in Appalachia by being the hub of connectivity between philanthropists and the people who need their support while providing the tools and resources to build strong communities, and reducing the dependency on governmental assistance and intervention.

The vision of the Center for Appalachian Philanthropy is to have well sustained Appalachian communities, with reduced poverty, improved health, and stronger educational achievement.
